“How To Choose A Grade-1 Contractor In Saudi Arabia (Without Regretting It)”

Choosing the right contractor is the single biggest decision in any construction project — and the easiest to get wrong. Here is the short checklist our own team would use.

Start with classification

A contractor’s grade defines the value and complexity of work they are legally qualified to deliver. In Saudi Arabia a Grade-1 classification sits at the top tier, with the bonding capacity that large public and private contracts demand. If a project is significant, the contractor’s classification is the first thing to confirm.

Look past the headline price

The cheapest bid is rarely the cheapest project. Ask how much of the work is self-performed versus sub-contracted, review the HSE record, and check references on projects of similar scale. A low bid from an under-classified contractor is usually the most expensive mistake an owner can make.

At AMC we are happy to walk you through our classification, bonding and track record before you commit to anything. That transparency is exactly what a Grade-1 partnership should feel like.
